Insight (259)

When you’re going after something big in life - something deeply connected to your calling and meaningful to your purpose - everything in you is gonna wanna chase it down as fast as possible. And it makes sense.

It’s exciting to do the “impossible”- to grab an idea out of what seems like thin air and pull it straight into reality. There’s nothing like it.

But no matter how fast you go or how hard you try, the dreams God gives you aren’t gonna happen through any amount of worry, wonder, or will. They’ll happen at His pace, in His timing, and through His partnership.

The dream you see is the end result of a wild adventure God wants to take you on. He hasn’t given you a glimpse of what’s to come so you could get there tomorrow.

He gave you that snapshot so you’ll have something to look forward to while you’re on the journey.

Don’t get me wrong, you’re gonna need to work really hard to get where you’re headed. There’s just no reason to sprint from one checkbox to the next if God hasn’t asked you to.

There’s just no finish line for what God has for you. If anything, the line will keep moving back because your dreams will keep getting bigger.

So, if you ever feel like you should’ve gotten to your dream a while ago, remember that if you haven’t, you weren’t meant to yet.

God’s set the pace, He’s figured out the timing, and He’s just excited to keep venturing toward the future with you.

Just fall back in step with Him and go there together. It’ll all eventually happen when you do.
