Insight (298)

You don’t need to chase perfection for it all to work out. You just need to follow purpose and trust God with the rest. The thing is, God never asked you to be perfect, so you don’t need to try to be. All He really wants you to do is follow Him, go after purpose, and do the best you can as you trust Him along the way.

If you’re feeling the stress of expectation or the pressure of perfection, you’ve gotta start letting all that go. It’s time to normalize the process being the point.

Sure, you’ve gotta work on your craft, strengthen your mind, and develop the character needed to sustain where you’re going, but that doesn’t happen all at once. It happens one day at a time as you keep showing up and trusting God to do His thing along the way.

I know it’s tempting to look at the follows, count the likes, and find value in the comments, but that’s not where the truth lives. The truth exists in what God says about you, how He sees you, and how much He believes in you.

When you get the urge to talk down about yourself or believe the negative chatter around you, turn to Him instead. He’ll remind you who you are, what He’s called you to do, and that perfection was never the point. Following purpose and trusting the process is.
