One of the biggest areas in life that’s gonna test our faith the most is the waiting. Waiting on a dream, waiting on an opportunity, waiting on a change, waiting for the right moment, waiting on the right timing, and waiting on the future we really believe is gonna happen.

The thing about waiting is that it’s usually out of our control. How we get from where we are to where we wanna be comes with a lot of challenges, and yet one of the biggest challenges we face is the decisions we’re gonna make while we’re waiting.

It can be so easy to get restless, fidgety, annoyed, and confused when what you thought was gonna happen doesn’t, what you went for unravels, and what was supposed to happen easily ends up being way harder than you could’ve imagined.

So, what do we do when we’re in the waiting?

The first thing is to remember God is still right there with you. He knows where you are, knows why He’s got you there, and knows the bigger-picture plan for why it’s all taking longer than you thought. So, trust Him.

The second thing is to remember you can use the waiting to strengthen your faith, spend time building your relationship with Him, and embrace the moment you’re in to make a difference right where you are.

When you take care of the little things He’s already placed in your hands, He’s gonna give you the bigger things He said you’d be holding one day.

The last thing - for now - is to remember God uses the waiting not only to prepare you for all that’s to come, but also to prepare everyone and everything else that needs to come together for His master plan to work.

It’s not just you He needs to make sure is ready. For everything to work out like He said it would, there are countless details He’s gotta make sure are just right for it all to come together.

So if you’re waiting and waiting...and waiting, remember - while you’re definitely working toward it all, He’s absolutely working on it all.

Just because it’s taking longer than you thought doesn’t mean it’s time to give up. It’s time to remember that the waiting is a part of how it will eventually come together.

His master plan always works. So keep trusting in the waiting, because the waiting won’t last forever, and the waiting is always worth it.
