A big part of moving forward is seeing the potential in opportunity while having a mindset that says, “sure, why not”, when it comes to possibility.
That doesn’t always come naturally to everyone, but everyone can work on it and grow into it. Just like anything you’d like to get better at, it’s gonna take practice.
Trying something new is practice, taking an intentional step of faith is practice, saying “yes” to your own hunch or a friend’s good idea is practice. And, yep - looking for potential and giving a “sure, why not,” takes practice.
My guess is you’ve heard a saying that says something about how you don’t need to dip your toe in the water but to jump right in. I get where that’s coming from, but you don’t need to dive in head first for faith to work.
It usually only takes a toe in the water to get things moving.
Maybe that looks like saying “I’m in” next time you’re invited to a game night. Maybe that’s trusting the hunch to shoot that text. Maybe it’s following through on the plans to release your next project.
Whatever it is, look for the potential, lean into the opportunities, and believe in the possibilities. It might not come naturally, but you can always practice. And, maybe for you, that starts with a “sure, why not?”
