Sometimes you’ve just gotta break a good plan to make a great one.

I mean, let’s face it - not every idea we have is gonna work out the way we think it will. And, that’s okay. The reality is - we don’t know everything, we can’t tell the future, and if we’re being honest, we’re only guessing at how one thing will lead to another anyway.

That might seem a little disheartening, but through a different lens it’s really exciting. Not knowing how it’s all gonna go is all a part of the big adventure God wants to take you on.

The truth is, some of the best things in life will happen outside your plans.

Sure, you wanna write out your dream, sketch out your vision, and map out your goals. But, when you do, just make sure to use a pencil.

What you have planned and what God has in mind can oftentimes look pretty different. Of course He’s given you the dream to pursue, but how it unfolds will usually be a little surprising compared to how you thought it would all come together.

So, if your plan isn’t going quite how you thought it would, don’t hold onto what’s not working. Instead, let go of the good plans so you can make some great ones. And, remember to always use a pencil.
